Dear Players and Parents,

Welcome to Ramona Soccer League!  We are looking forward to a lot of exciting soccer in the coming year.  I am encouraged to report that almost all of the positions on our soccer board are filled with volunteers who continue to put in the time and effort needed to keep the league running smoothly.  These people do a lot of work behind the scenes, so don't forget to thank them when you see them.

In the recreation division, we will be starting our spring season in March with approximately 350 players currently registered.  This season, we are trying something new with the addition of a snack bar buy-in to encourage parents and families to share the work of running the snack bar.  The snack bar is one of our key fund raisers that allow us to provide a cost effective sports experience without requiring additional individual fundraising from our players. 

Our competitive Intra teams are still finishing the 2008-2009 season by competing in the State Cup tournament.  The younger teams compete in the tournament through February.  The State Cup for older teams is held in April after the high school seasons are finished.  If you can, get out and support these teams whenever possible.  We also have teams forming and tryouts being held starting mid-February for the 2009-2010 season.
